Idle chit chat from the airport

I've been in San Francisco for the last 5 days and am on my way home. My hives at Cape Cod Organic Farm are on my mind. We visited Beekind down on the Embarcadero the other day, they have lots of honey, in many flavors. Some years ago I visited their store up in Sebastapol, where my parents live. Its a cool store.

Hive Observation

Today is breezy, sunny, and busy on the farm. The bees are busy and I observed heavy pollen baskets. Dandelions, fruit trees, dogwoods, and tulips are blooming on Cape Cod.

The bees are in!

I put 5 packages of bees in on Saturday, April 27. The hives are on the west side of the property, facing east, southeast. They are partially shaded by an old birch tree and are backed by the old stone wall bordering the entire farm.
